Three potential sites for the Operations and Maintenance Facility (OMF) South are being considered in environmental review.

Sound Transit will study each of these site alternatives equally in a Draft Environmental Impact Statement, expected in mid-2020.

Previous public feedback informed the two sites in Federal Way and site in Kent that continue to be evaluated. Get a project status update and what to expect as we move forward.

The Tacoma Dome Link Extension (TDLE) has a preferred alternative and additional alternatives in Federal Way, Fife and Tacoma that are being studied in the environmental review phase.

Sound Transit collected public input last spring to develop these alternatives. Environmental review will conclude in 2021, and final design is scheduled to begin in 2022.
